At 6 p.m. GMT, the ninth event of the GGPoker WSOP Winter Online Circuit starts with WSOPC #9: $315 BOUNTY GIANT No-Limit Hold'em to offer players another shot at winning a pretty prize and the coveted WSOP Circuit Ring. The tournament comes with a pretty $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool with a progressive bounty format on the schedule today.
Players like Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov, Joaquin Melogno, Christian Jeppsson, Sihao "Mr_3rdBullet" Zhang, Pulkit Goyal, "CallMeBatya", "Wtfisthis", and Seungmook "7high" Jung have all already claimed their Circuit Rings in this festival and another 6 are to be awarded this year.
As this is a progressive bounty tournament, a bounty of at least $75 will be awarded for each player that gets eliminated while the other 50% of the bounty will be added onto the bounty of the player who wins the all-in. Players can reenter up to three times during the late registration period which will last until 9:20 p.m. GMT.
Players will get 25,000 chips in their starting stack with equals 125 big blinds during the first level of the day. Level duration will be at 15 minutes for the first 12 levels and then decrease to 10 minutes each. Players who have registered before the start of the day will benefit from the early bird feature which gives players bubble protection. This means that if they get eliminated during the bubble, their buy-in will be compensated.
GGPoker has introduced some new features which includes several estimations of timelines. For this tournament for example, the estimation is that it will take just over 4 hours before the bubble has burst, 8 hours and 40 minutes before the final table has been reached, and 2 hours for the final table to play out. This means that GGPoker estimates that the tournament will last 10 hours and 40 minutes in total.
GGPoker now also has a Final Table Blind Rollback feature where the blind level will be rolled back at the start of the final table to give players an average of 40~100 big blinds. Also noticeable in the tournament lobby is the fact that deal making is possible which wasn't an option in some of the other tournaments during the WSOPC.
PokerNews will be here from the first knockout until the final bounty has been awarded so make sure to keep reading along with all the live updates.
